Returning To The Ukraine

The Ukraine has been a busy place. To begin, the cauldron has closed. This is a phenomenally big deal. Debaltsevo is ruined. Now the water in the pot will boil, along with at least 7000 Ukrainian troops. Ukrainian Armed Forces morale and asabiyyah is already incredibly low. They will not survive this bludgeon, mark my words.

Combine this with the repetitive flight of officers and high command and you have a recipe for total regime collapse, led in part by the more extreme fascist factions of the government inĀ  Svoboda and the Right Sektor.

The only thing that could save those troops, and therefore the Poroshenko regime, is a potential ceasefire. And Merkel and Hollande did just make an unscheduled stop in Kiev and Moscow. Coincidence? Not a chance in hell. The Europeans are simultaneously hopeful of Ukrainian victory and terrorized by Ukrainian defeat. The difference is defeat is vastly more probably than victory. Not to mention that any victory is ultimately just postponement. The Ukraine has and is going to continue to suffer an enormous economic loss for the next half decade. Unfortunately, it’s most prosperous area, it’s breadbasket, the Donbass, is now in ruins.

Enjoy a video update, since it says so much in a few pictures. I wouldn’t want to be in Debaltsevo right now, that’s for sure.
